The Erasmus+ Project, “Breaking the Glass Ceiling for Women Administrators”, to which EMG participates as a partner organisation has started in March 2018 and will last until December 2019. The project is coordinated by the Adnan Menderes University (Turkey) and 5 other organizations are inside the project consortium, namely CEIPES (Italy), BragaMob (Portugal), AC Amics de la Biblioteca de la Fonteta (Spain), Aydin Il Milli Egitim Mudurlugu (Turkey) and Aydin Kulturel Gelisim Dernegi (Turkey).

The project aims at supporting and guiding women administrators who are exposed to the glass ceiling syndrome and primarily focuses on professionals working in the filed of education. In this framework, partners will initially work on a survey and report in order to understand the current situation in partner countries. This will be followed by a training program and, then, a mentorship training program organized for women administrators.

The first transnational project meeting (TPM) took place between 28-30.03.2018 in Aydin, Turkey. While the project partners got to know each other and shared relevant experiences during the meetings, discussions for the next steps and task distribution among the partners were accomplished. The project kick-off meeting was organized on 29.03.2018 at Adnan Menderes University, where not only the partner organizations, but also several academic / administrative university staff and students came together.
